Château de Corton-C
The domaine cultivates 7 hectares of vineyards in Corton, Corton-Charlemagne, Volnay, Meursault and Pommard; besides, there are 100 hectares of vineyards where the grapes for Château de Corton-C are bought. The vines are treated according to organic and biodynamic principles; but without certification. The current owner of the domaine is Caroline Frey. The Frey family also owns Domaine Paul Jaboulet Aîné (Rhône) and Château La Lagune (Bordeaux).
The top wines of the domaine are Chambolle-Musigny Les Bonnes Mares Grand Cru, Corton Les Renardes Grand Cru, Corton Le Clos du Château Grand Cru.
The wines of the domaine are smooth, classy, full of flavor and sophisticated.
History
1923
In 2014, Caroline Frey purchased Château de Corton André and renamed it Château de Corton-C. Besides, she enabled wine-producing and maturing at the château.
Caroline Frey is an eminent oenologist of the new generation: she is one of the 50 Most Influential Women in Wine and Spirits 2020 (The WWS 50 List of Excellence).
Château de Corton-C dates back to the 19th century. In 1923, Pierre André founded Château de Corton and later renamed it to Château de Corton André.
Château de Corton-C owns Corton Le Clos du Château Grand Cru monopole.
